Something a little bit different.

Shelton High School, Bunnell, and Foran are 3 stars, Law is 2 stars, Stratford High School is 1 star.
Digger's scale is 0-5 stars, so each "star" would be worth 2 points if trying to compare their ranking versus greatschool's ranking. The only school they both agree on would be Law, at 4 points.

I don't disagree. My point was Foran and Shelton are pretty close and I would consider them peers. Law is definitely a rung or two lower than both. I've seen a lot of mixed statistics on Bunnell so I'm not really sure what to think there.

Clubs and activities offered vary but mostly by the size of the school. A small high school like say Bolton just can't have the same number of clubs and activities like a large high school like say Glastonbury.

And I really don't get what you are saying about Naugatuck. Just because they sent a couple of students to an Ivy League school means they do have good schools??? Test scores show that Oxford schools perform well on CAPT and Mastery Tests. By what you are saying then Naugatuck would be considered good schools and Oxford would not??? Again, there is no better way to compare school systems than to compare the results of these tests. Plain and simple. Jay
It means that Naugatuck offers a good education, but not everyone capitalizes on it. That's what happens when you have more socioeconomically diverse populations. I was not saying Oxford was worse at all (though due to its size, don't be surprised if Naugy actually offers more). And I still believe you rely way too much on CAPT/CMT scores to judge a school system. Not every parent is like you and I when it comes to pushing your child's education. Just because a handful of people in my school system could care less about education doesn't mean my kids are getting a lousy education.
