Hi Everyone,

We are currently residing in east haven but want to move to a 2bhk apartment or condo in branford or east haven ( for and because of our 1.5 yr old son). We looked at few apartments but we are very new here and couldn't finalize any. so any input from you all will be helpful for us.

Apartments are preferred coz i hope my son will get some companions if it's an apartment community , very good if it has a playyard / playzone.
Some of the ones we shortlisted were branford hills apartments and hemingway place. We like the "The greens" in brandford but we are not sure how to check its availablity for rent. Can someone help on this.

I read few old posts but nothing about east haven.

Thanks a ton,

For whatever reason, we do not see many requests for information on East Haven. Branford is a wonderful town and I am sure you will like it there. I do not know about the apartments you are asking about but maybe you can contact a local real estate agent to help you find a place. Jay

If you haven't already, try searching on Zillow, Trulia, craigslist, or padmapper.com. There are some complexes in East Haven in the town center area as well as some apartments/condos along the beach. I've searched in this area before as well. I put up a listing on craigslist saying I was looking for a new apartment and had a real estate agent reach out to me and help us find a new place for no cost, and saw some places that weren't listed online.

Branford Hills is actually a condo complex, but has a lot of rentals. There would not be a central place to check for rentals there, as each owner rents his or her place out. I live in a majority rental condo complex, and that is how it works at our place. Some people advertise their place themselves, others use a rental agent. The suggestion about a place near the East Haven Town Beach was a good one, as there is a "splash pad" there and lots of young children and families go there, so your son could meet other youngsters. Also a play area - swings, slide, etc. - at the beach. And if you live close enough, you can walk to the beach, since parking has been a problem the last couple of years; the lot fills up and you end up walking a few blocks anyway. Branford has a nice beach, but it is very small, but also has a play area, but no splash pad.

Thank you very much for your suggestions, i believe a rental condo complex in east haven / branford would be best then.
Can anyone suggest agents to find the same, i tried searching and many come up , also do we have to pay for the agents?

mistene: if you still have the contact of that real estate agent could you please share, like you said i see many apartments in east haven but nothing gets listed online.

once again thanks a lot.
