Thats how light it may be plus ground melting at first because its falling light. Plus it may show as 12hrs straight but there may be breaks of dryness? Especially if light, cold air will dry it up as it falls. But yeah, I wouldn't be surprised to see a 3-4" somewhere. Maybe even on Long Island.

I cant believe Raleigh, NC going to have a snowstorm Friday night.

Now I am actually very curious to see the actual totals when they come in!

They already cancelled our game from Friday to Thursday for some reason, so we may as well get 7 inches of snow now!

Status quo for tomorrow morning. No big deal but because of cold temps roads could get slick. They should be deicing and salting today for it. 1-3" statewide.

Then check this out. New NAM is west more for Saturday coastal storm.. 2 image animation for same timeframe (Saturday 4pm)

Watch. Focus on the "L" (Storm center). That little tiny shift west made the snow shield also shift west which means Eastern CT and Rhode Island get snow. Lets call it flurries to snow showers because its the furthest west with the precip shield. Would be very light. Heaviest is always closer to the center.

That's why forecasts busts. Storms naturally wobble and it changes the end result even day of. This even has implecations for NC forecast. West more means the heaviest snows are NW and the rain line also shifted west down there.

Fun Fun. Glad I'm not a forecaster.

My sister getting lake effect snow again from Erie. 1-3 feet of snow in certain spots near Erie and Ontario. Crazy year for Lake Effects!

On phone but noticed New NAM12z shifts much further west with Saturday storm. We are in the snow zone now. 36hr surprise?

If GFS and Euro follow suit, its another snow day for us Saturday. We'll see.

Thats what happens when things shift last minute.

So what you're saying is that my ritual snow dance is working?

It'd be a minor miracle if southern CT gets at least 2 inches out of the next two systems!

lol, Plus me putting the shovels away too. lolol. Maybe we should wave the white flag too.

New GFS12z "ticked" west as well. But gives NYC and Western CT NADA. Not enough west with the snow shield. Lets see what Canadian and Euro do.

Here is the forecast for Wilton and New London. You can tell the storm track by noticing they have snow for New London. Just too far off shore for Western CT

Even with a more west track it's not like a huge snowstorm. Another festive 1-3" would be likely.
