What's your favorite county in Connecticut and why?

I live in the Hartford area and love it. Hartford County has a good mix of urban, suburban, and rural towns. Though we aren't experiencing much growth (thank god), we are however, having a lot of upcoming projects that will improve not only our infrastructure but our overall economy as well. UCONN is coming to Hartford, two new semi-professional sport franchises are coming to the XL Center, and Interstate 84 is looking to be re-done. I'm not interested in FFC as much as many people on this forum. It's getting too crowded and it's quite expensive compared to the rest of the state.

My choice is Hartford County.

Litchfield County. If I could leave crowded FFC I would move there.

Kind of interesting since FFC is the only county that is growing while Litchfield County has been declining the most out of the 8 counties.

My favorite city in CT is New Haven, and my favorite area is the stretch of coast from Branford to Old Saybrook, and up the lower CT River. So I guess it'd have to be New Haven County, even though a little of that is in Middlesex.

I'm a hills, woods, streams, lakes, covered barns type of girl - not beach -- and so I'd have to go with Litchfield Co. And my favorite town in Litchfield Co. is Kent
