Hi, not sure if this is allowed - but I'm looking for a reputable probate attorney in the Farmington/West Hartford/Simsbury area. I'm not familiar with the area and need a nearby attorney ASAP. Would prefer recommendations over just doing a Google search. If not allowed to post here, please send a DM! Thanks for any help you can give.

We consulted with Attorney Sharon Pope on an elder care issue and we were satisfied. We did not use her for probate though, just consulted with her on our options. Jay

Will depend largely on the size of the estate and if you are current in violation or executing a will. The larger the estate the bigger the firm you'll want to go with. You'll actually want an attorney that works within the system where the will is executed, the city of their office is less important. If they don't have experience in your city they'll encounter red tape...2 cents. Also if there are large accounts, you'll want to ask if they have experience working with that financial institution.

Thanks for this. We're entering this with a blindfold on so learning along the way. I appreciate the response!
