Pasadena not so much.

I know Pasadena's weather is much better than Stamford's, the natural scenery is probably much more majestic due to the mountains, and the infrastructure is probably better maintained; but lets not push it now.

In addition, unlike Pasadena, Stamford is one of the original English towns founded before the US was even created. It was part of the scenery during the war of independence, great men that help create the foundation of this country either were from here or spent some time here. Pasadena isn't intertwined with the very creation of this country as Stamford is.
u have a link to support that? I'm pretty sure thats not accurate.

he expressly qualified that statement as his thought; how would he support his own thoughts with a so-called "link"?

Stamford is a major financial center with the offices of General Re, Odyssey Re, SAC Advisors, XL, UBS and RBS as well as Synchrony (the former GE Capital finance are of General Electric). In nearby Westport is the headquarters of Bridgewater which is the world's largest hedge fund. There is also a ton of hedge funds operating in Stamford and neighboring Greenwich which has been called "The Hedge Fund Capitol of the World". Not bad for a small city. Jay

"Stamford boasts an extraordinarily diverse economic base, and serves as the business center of Fairfield County. Many major U.S. companies have located their corporate headquarters in Stamford. Midway through the 2000s, Stamford remains a top-five city in the U.S. in terms of concentration of Fortune 500 headquarters in the country, as firms moved to the city citing lower costs of doing business and a higher quality of life."

Stamford Facts, information, pictures | Encyclopedia.com articles about Stamford

Plus in Greater Stamford:

Just another night in a small town that, for many, is as definitively known as The Hedge Fund Capital of the World as Connecticut is known as The Nutmeg State.

Those towns are tied to the Stamford area and are part of the Bridgeport-Stamford-Norwalk metropolitan area. Other posters have mentioned other towns but yet you did not question their posts. Makes me wonder your motives for commenting. Jay
