Is this widespread? Just moved here, had no idea how bad it is? I have Verizon and basically cannot have a conversation on my cell without being disconnected. Does anybosy have any suggestions other than a landline? Thx!
Are you outside or inside? We had trouble in our house because the signal was low and our house had aluminum siding which blocked the signal. I think we put a booster on our wifi connection to help it because it got better. Jay
Where are you? I lived just past the numbered streets off of 136 and did have some cell issues (Verizon). But this was the worst section of town. The rest of Branford was always okay.
Ridgefield has a new Cell Tower to help with a dead zone in the Ridgebury Rd area....but Verizon hasn't put an antenna on the tower, so no / little coverage in that area. There is even a petition going around to get Verizon to move on this......the dead area involves two schools (High / Middle Scools), and athletic fields.
If you have one of the latest iPhone models you can enable wifi calling which will let you make calls over your internet connection, which feeds back into the cell network. Works great in basements where you get no cell signal, but there is available wifi to connect to. Works with AT&T, and I think Verizon just enabled it as well.
