Agree with you on Southport Village and even Greenfield Hill. Can’t say I find Fairfield Center to be charming at all. Busy, bustling and lots of traffic speeding by.

I take back what I said about Southport and putting it on my list. I looked up Southport and they do have a Historic District. When I go down there I must be seeing a lot of new houses & mini mansions that are more along the water.

Most of the homes on the water in Southport harbor are pretty old...

Anywhere north of the Merritt in Fairfield you can find charming areas. Name a town that you cant. Harder.
