Its interesting how far back it goes! (Maybe some of it fell in over the years when I saw it in the 80s (It used to be more walkable))

We do have mountains but for someone coming from the west, they would laugh at them since they are relatively small compared to say what you find in the Rockys. Jay

Or someone coming from northern New England or many states just south of us.

As someone who has biked and hiked extensively from NC, VA and WV northward, CT has hills, not mountains. Except for Bear Mountain which I didn't consider that strenuous.

A hill used to be described as something under 1000'

This is true. Some of the best hikes in the world are in the Rockies. We can’t compare. They call us “flatlanders” for a reason.

Well put together Video. Quick but great video footage and summary. I would of done more than just 5 though.

They did a full video on each of the hikes mentioned. I haven't checked out yet. It's in their description.

1) Steep Rock Preserve:
2) Silver Sands State Park:
3) Peoples State Forest:
4) Kent Falls State Park:
5) Mine Hill Preserve:

I'm long overdo for a nice hike. I should do my own CT Hike Video.
Hikes I've Done in CT:

Mt Bear
Mt Tom
Bluff Head Ridge
Sleeping Giant
Devils Den
Cherry Lane Park
Kettletown Park
Mianus Park

You have the boot killer Appalachian Trail. Look up the final--very scary--leg.
