Roughly 62 in New Britain. That's the trade off, I guess.

Lots of wind/rain and power outages here in RI. We got very lucky as we got into an outage right at the start of the wind gusts, were assigned right away and, to our big surprise, restored within a couple of hours. Still under a wind advisory. Nothing like Isaias, but not what I would called scattered outages (which is what the news had predicted; then again, not sure what exactly the definition of scattered is...?). Something is wrong when every moderate storm people lose power for a day or more. Also, we never lost power to a storm since moving into our current place a few years back, and this year it's already the second time. Could be chance, but if others here are experiencing the same...

It's chance. In the ten years I've been in my house, we've lost power for an extended period five times. Four of those were within the first two years (Irene, Snowtober, a local severe thunderstorm, and Sandy) and then nothing until lsaias. And we are in a fairly wooded area.

Cambium, how accurate are these predictions this far out in your experience?

There might be some snow on 12/6. Might not accumulate though.

Don't tease me like that, Cam! I am DYING for a real winter. It has been way too long. I didn't even bother putting my snow tires on last year, which ended up being a good call.
