My backyard max temps number of days this year so far:

10s: 1
20s: 9
30s: 31
40s: 26
50s: 39
60s: 27
70s: 60
80s: 63
90s: 24

I find it comical that even in October it seems hard for it to be just in the 60s.

The Lack of just 60s is interesting since Spring is done and November is in 3 weeks. 50s is the Avg high for November.

Current temps. 46° in Waterbury. Already in the 30s in some areas of the interior. Even Montgomery and Monticello, NY. My sister has been using her heat since September. It's amazing how cold they get there.

We'll see how low everyone goes in the morning. Could be surprise frosts around

That's an interesting list! Do you have one for a full year?

Cam, what is the science behind frost over 32 degrees? Or is 32 degrees at the point where it's considered hard frost?

Frost is basically frozen water obviously but it can form when "air" temps are in the mid-upper 30s. This is because the surface of the grass, roof, cars radiated heat enough to drop to freezing point. I'm not a good teacher, hope that helps. Just google it. lol

We had the scrape the windows on the truck here in Bethel. Nice afternoon to throw some dogs on the grille and burn some twigs and such in the firepit
