I'll grab some maps later today. Here's a long loop of the vent.

A lot of things to look at here.

1. Watch that firehose from the Atlantic push inland into the cold air

2. Watch the pivot and turn as the rain changed to snow

3. Watch eastern half of CT get dry slotted

I ended up with about 4" of very heavy wet snow in the higher elevations of Glastonbury.

I think its tough to put on a map because some areas were so localized to elevation...

Did BDL even get an inch?

CoCorahs reports

Closeup

Litchfield NNE part of town 6.0"
Litchfield SSE part of town 2.6"

Staffordville: 7.5"
Eastford: 3.0"

Warren: 10"
New Milford: 0.8"

Not sure about that New Milford report. Maybe because they are by the water? Sounds too low, or maybe it's near the commercial area or in a valley?

We got a few inches. Monday at 7:26 it started as an all snow event for me through 4 am this morning. I brought out the snowblower three times. 5am yesterday, 5 pm yesterday and 5 am today.

Downed tree kept me from going in to work yesterday

LOL. I know. I had to take my calendar outside with me and take a picture for a coworker who said the pictures were from another year!

It is amazing that the higher elevations in the NW Hills of Ct and NY got so much snow but the lowlands got nothing.

I don't know how accurate this is from weather service, but you can somewhat see the snowcover this morning, NW has alot, then it falls to nothing from the coastal plain south.
