It will be interesting to see what happens during the month and how the means end?
It will be below normal entire month of June but when July and August comes it will be hot this could be shorter summer and fall like weather coming back end of September base on long range forecast. We going have some heatwaves in July and maybe first two week of August then temperatures drop slowly every week.

To be fair to NOAA/NWS...as of May 31 they had much the Tri-State area as being above normal for June:

Still, both NWS Bradley and Bridgeport are running more than 3.4 F BELOW normal. It seems hard to imagine that they both would end up above normal by the end of the month. As a side note, Bradley hit 85 F today - 6 F above normal.

I was outside most of today...feeling more like June I guess. LOL. Dew points are back into the 60's and 70's along the East Coast in the southerly flow... even as of 6:00 PM:

Tuesday looks nice, showers overnight/in the morning, then clearing and sunny and 75 to 80 F in most locations.

I don't mind a day like today. Nice comfortable weather in the morning and early afternoon, heavy rain mid afternoon and finish the day with comfortable temps and sunshine.

We got our nice day along with a good soak for our lawns and reservoirs/lakes all in 1. Win-win as long as there wasn't any damage caused by the quick storm

No doubt we need the rain. It seems each spring in the region gets drier and drier. I don't know about NWS Bradley, but NWS Bridgeport is once again running below normal in precip from January 1 to yesterday:

The drought monitor shows low -level drought in Connecticut mostly along the coast and the high country of western CT. In the next 10 days its looks like same pattern, scattered showers and T-storms, daily highs 75 to 80 F and no real intense heat, but no really below normal cool. So not too bad a pattern.

With a Max temp of 81° this June and no 80s through Tuesday its the 3rd lowest Max temp for June 1-20 period on record. Ties 2009, 2003, 1978, 1972, 1963.
