Some family members were exposed and it took them 3 days to get a test approved by a doctor, another day appointment for drive-in test, and will take another 2-3 days for results. So about a week from start to finish.

I think this thing is so contagious that most of us will be exposed to it at some point, social distancing or not. And many of us probably have been exposed or have even come down with it and don't know it. You just want to delay the inevitable as long as possible while they figure out better treatments for it.

I, most likely, have already been exposed. In fact I will most likely know in 14 days if a little sniffle I had back in March was COVID.

For most (the lucky, like myself) who aren't in a risk group the impact is minimal.

This is what I think is so scary about it and why the extreme measures compared to the flu or even H1N1 in 2009 are being done. So many people are "carriers" who don't get sick at all and unwittingly give it to people who get very sick or even die from it.

While that is true for most not in a risk group, there have been some surprises which is what also makes it scary. I don't believe the infant who died was in a risk group but I could be wrong. It's almost as if if you're not in a risk group your genes determine how your immune system reacts to it.

I was at Home Depot....packed. Not packed where you are bumping into people but just busy enough to feel uncomfortable being in the store. They are only allowing people to enter one way and exit one way. SMART!

Sorted by most cases to date

Are some weekender towns underreported?

E.g. if your main residence is NYC and you’re in CT, you won’t contribute to numbers.

Noticing a low number in Litchfield and shoreline towns east of Westport, which we know many have weekend homes.

I counted 20 (!) NY plates in my neighborhood by the water in Milford.
