Fairfield vs Norwalk

Bridgeport vs Stamford - Bridgeport has more character

Newtown vs Ridgefield - another tough one. Could really go either way. Points off for Newtown having some of the worst roads in the state.

New Haven vs North Branford - best city in CT

Wolcott vs Middlebury

Branford vs Woodbridge

Southbury vs Guilford

Madison vs Oxford

West Haven vs North Haven - beaches and better food

Wallingford vs Bethany - tough one, but Bethany is really pretty

Orange vs Milford

Hartford County

West Hartford vs Canton - another tough one, but I like the low key vibe of Canton.

Here are Mine:

Round 2:

Fairfield County

Westport vs Monroe

New Fairfield vs Trumbull: OMG, Very tough. New Fairfield has better scenery, but I am going with Trumbull due to proximity to everything and closer to beach as well. Also has a nice mall. However, it's really close for me.

Darien vs Brookfield

Bethel vs Greenwich

Fairfield vs Norwalk

Bridgeport vs Stamford: Sorry Bridgeport, I am not sure if I can choose you over Stamford now. Stamford is probably my second favorite city in Connecticut after New Haven.

Wilton vs Weston

Newtown vs Ridgefield: Very tough as well.

New Haven County

New Haven vs North Branford

Wolcott vs Middlebury

Branford vs Woodbridge

Southbury vs Guilford: WOW, this was not a hard decision for me, but sad that these two need to face each other so early. I LOVE the town of Southbury, but Guilford is one of the most beautiful towns in the state. The greenery is unreal, and the coast is very nice as well.

Madison vs Oxford

West Haven vs North Haven

Wallingford vs Bethany

Orange vs Milford: Also tough one for me. Honestly when I am shopping and spending time in the area, I always look at this as one town to be honest. When I am actually there I forgot these are two separate towns. While I currently live out of state, my family and I are talking about moving back to CT in about 2 years. Fairfield is our hometown, but we are talking about the possibility of Milford due to proximity of amenities.

Hartford County

Glastonbury vs Hartford

South Windsor vs Rocky Hill

West Hartford vs Canton

Wethersfield vs Berlin

Avon vs Burlington

Manchester vs Simsbury: WOW these fixtures are already getting so hard. This is another tough one.

New Britain vs Newington

Southington vs Farmington

Middlesex County

Old Saybrook vs Deep River

Durham vs Middletown

Essex vs East Hampton

Portland vs Cromwell

New London County

Montville vs Norwich

Stonington vs Old Lyme: Oh My Gosh. I LOVE both of these towns. However, I am afraid I do need to give the edge to Old Lyme, because it just so stunning where the Connecticut River pulls into the coast. One of the most beautiful areas of the state. Stonington is really nice too, although I am not as huge of a fan of the Mystic Seaport as many others are.

New London vs North Stonington: New London is kind of a run down city.

Voluntown vs Groton

Lebanon vs Preston: Neither of them honestly.

Waterford vs Griswold

Lyme vs Colchester: These towns are both very nice and some beautiful rural towns, but Lyme has the edge as it is overlooking the Connecticut River.

Franklin vs East Lyme: One of my favorite towns in the whole state. Stunning coast, and the northern parts are very stunning rural areas with so much great nature. Honestly East Lyme & Old Saybrook have the best coastal feelings in the state if you ask me. Just the kind of culture in the towns, and a lot of seafood and beach cafe's along the coastal roads of East Lyme. Feels like a real true beach town.

Litchfield County

Kent vs Salisbury

New Hartford vs Torrington: Parts of Torrington are a little rundown.

Litchfield vs Goshen

Cornwall vs Washington

New Milford vs Thomaston

Morris vs Woodbury

Bethlehem vs Bridgewater

Roxbury vs Watertown

Tolland County

Columbia vs Tolland

Mansfield vs Willington: Very close call, but Mansfield is on the edge of two Universities which makes the town more densely populated.

Coventry vs Hebron

Union vs Ellington

Windham County

Killingly vs Woodstock

Thompson vs Plainfield

Putnam vs Ashford

Pomfret vs Canterbury

I checked my original fixture list and that mistake wasn't there, so I am guessing something happened when you were writing out your votes. Just want to make sure, do you still mean Southington over Farmington? Please confirm your vote for that fixture.

So Bridgeport beat New Canaan? Confirms this forum has no credibility.

Fairfield County

Westport vs Monroe

New Fairfield vs Trumbull. This is a tough one to pick. If I didn't live in Trumbull I'd probably pick New Fairfield. It's a great community, far enough where you can get peace and quiet but close enough to Danbury where you aren't very far away from all the ammenities, and than also Candlewood Lake. Trumbull has the advantage of highway access with 3 major thoroughfares through town, a mall and a movie theater, but the movie theater and mall could be a disadvantage as well as it brings up some of the undesirables from Bridgeport which New Fairfield doesn't have to worry about. This could go either way.

Darien vs Brookfield. A surprising pick, but I'll take the less snooty residents of Brookfield.

Bethel vs Greenwich. Same with Bethel over Greenwich

Fairfield vs Norwalk. I like Norwalk, but no comparison to Fairfield

Bridgeport vs Stamford. Another tough pick for me. Bridgeport gets a bad rap among folks, as Bridgeport is changing, but more options in the downtown area give Stamford the slight advantage. I wouldn't be surprised if Bridgeport went through.

Wilton vs Weston. Points off to Wilton's ancestories to killing Super 7 and now they are stuck with a crappy road through town!

Newtown vs Ridgefield. Stylo's right, some of the roads are awful, but when I'm working in both towns at least I still get cell service in most of Newtown, whereas in like half of Ridgefield I don't.

New Haven County

New Haven vs North Branford

Wolcott vs Middlebury

Branford vs Woodbridge

Southbury vs Guilford

Madison vs Oxford

West Haven vs North Haven

Wallingford vs Bethany. Bethany is a nice little town, but I'll take the amenities of Wallingford.

Orange vs Milford. More in Milford than Orange.

Hartford County

Glastonbury vs Hartford

South Windsor vs Rocky Hill

West Hartford vs Canton. Another tough one. I'll take the laid back atmosphere of Canton + Collinsville.

Wethersfield vs Berlin

Avon vs Burlington

Manchester vs Simsbury

New Britain vs Newington

Southington vs Farmington

Middlesex County

Old Saybrook vs Deep River

Durham vs Middletown

Essex vs East Hampton. Essex steam train!

Portland vs Cromwell

New London County

Montville vs Norwich

Stonington vs Old Lyme. This maybe the toughest pick in this round. Both of these towns are contenders to make it to the final 16, but one of them is going to go home very early.

New London vs North Stonington

Voluntown vs Groton

Lebanon vs Preston

Waterford vs Griswold

Lyme vs Colchester

Franklin vs East Lyme

Litchfield County

Kent vs Salisbury

New Hartford vs Torrington

Litchfield vs Goshen

Cornwall vs Washington

New Milford vs Thomaston

Morris vs Woodbury. Where is Morris??

Bethlehem vs Bridgewater

Roxbury vs Watertown

Tolland County

Columbia vs Tolland

Mansfield vs Willington. Mansfield still my favorite out of Tolland County

Coventry vs Hebron

Union vs Ellington

Windham County

Killingly vs Woodstock

Thompson vs Plainfield

Putnam vs Ashford

Pomfret vs Canterbury

So there we have it. Who is READY to VOTE in Round 2!!!!

Fairfield County

Westport vs Monroe - too easy - Westport

New Fairfield vs Trumbull - Trumbull in honor of one of my best buds here, the venerable CTArtist

Darien vs Brookfield - ridin' the Blue Wave

Bethel vs Greenwich - Beverly Hills East

Fairfield vs Norwalk - Norwalk. Toughest so far. Its like voting republican in CT, I'll be the lone one.
I think the fraternal twin titans of FFC actually do have comparisons. I like the location better. Corrupt politicians endangering the young to save a buck then attempt cover ups is a sin. Sorry Ffld.

Bridgeport vs Stamford - sticking with the underdog over the overrated

Wilton vs Weston - I love Wilton

Newtown vs Ridgefield - I'm a big Ridgefield fan.

New Haven County

New Haven vs North Branford - The Elm City all the way

Wolcott vs Middlebury - Middlebury

Branford vs Woodbridge - Woodbridge

Southbury vs Guilford - love that center in Guilford

Madison vs Oxford - OXFORD!!

West Haven vs North Haven - best pizza in the state is in West Haven

Wallingford vs Bethany - Bethany

Orange vs Milford - this ones for you Stylo - MILFORD!! I know you're looking out for it

Hartford County

Glastonbury vs Hartford - The Capital

South Windsor vs Rocky Hill - I can't vote againts anything named Rocky Hill

West Hartford vs Canton - NoHa for WeHa, Canton, please

Wethersfield vs Berlin - Heil Berlin

Avon vs Burlington - Avon

Manchester vs Simsbury - Joy Division's hometown of course

New Britain vs Newington - New Britain

Southington vs Farmington - Southington

Middlesex County

Old Saybrook vs Deep River - you have to be cool if you call Deep River home

Durham vs Middletown - Middletown Dreams

Essex vs East Hampton - Essex

Portland vs Cromwell - Cromwell, met Sammy Davis there once

to be continued

WOAH SteveM85, I got a little confused on these fixtures. I honestly had trouble determining which towns you meant here. I made educated guesses.

My guess is the towns you mean here are: Darien, Bethel, Bridgeport, New Haven, Manchester, and Deep River, correct? Those are the ones I recorded you for. Please let me know if I was wrong in any of them, and I'll change them for you. Please make sure you are clear next time, ok? Sorry I didn't understand what you meant for some of the fixtures.

Stonington vs Old Lyme is definitely the toughest this round. Kind of a shame that none town is going home very early. They are both great towns.

Morris is just the town below Litchfield.
