Some threads got me wondering so I'm curious if anyone knows this. In the old Naugatuck Valley Mall in Waterbury, there was a restaurant across from Filene's…or G. Fox ; - that I believe was called Espresso and it had the best sauce I have ever had on pizza. Does anyone know if they re-opened anywhere?

I didn't grow up in the Waterbury area, but wasn't the old Naugatuck Valley mall in Ansonia?

It was in Waterbury where the Walmart / Staples / Bob's Stores now are on the site of the old Pine Drive-In Theatre.

LOL. I do wonder why it was called that since Waterbury isn't the Valley.

Actually Waterbury is in the Naugatuck River Valley. Not sure why you think it is not. Jay

I guess it's from growing up here when the lower valley was referred to as THE Valley which basically from Naugatuck to Shelton. Technically Harwinton is is the NRV too, but no one realizes it. Anyway, someone tell me if that restaurant still exists!

Growing up there, I've always heard it called the "Naugatuck River Valley". Naugatuck Valley Community College is in Wtby.

In fact all the way up to Torrington it's technically the valley.
