I miss Beer Collective in New Haven. Awesome spot with great food and a fantastic beer list.
Oh Beer Collective is one I forgot. Loved that place. Huge loss. They are partial owners in Haven Hot Chicken now.

Rumba is a place I never went to, but seems legendary in the New Haven food scene.

Haven Hot Chicken! talk to me, any good? pics look so good I could leave right now
Didn't make it to Oak and Oars last saturday on the way to Anthony's Oceanview. Food was good there anyway. Can't say the same for the wedding though. Once the DJ played Livin' on a Prayer, that was my cue, snuck out the back door, deducted a $20 bill from the gift.

Yes - Roomba in New Haven was great. Not just the food but really the ambience was special too. Back in the mid 2000s my group of friends and I rotated between Roomba, Bentara, and Bangkok Gardens for birthday gatherings.

Anthony’s Oceanview is one of the best wedding/banquet venues in the state. I’ve been to MANY events there and all have been great. It’s best you did not go there already full. You’d miss so much. Jay

Very good.

Comparable to Hattie B’s in Nashville. I actually had em nearly back to back.

Haven has better chicken. Hattie has better bun. Both great.

Birdhouse still the best overall, but they don’t do Nashville hot style (yet).

Very funny on the wedding, I like your style.

Bentara, that’s another one. I wish we had gone more often. It’s easy to take great restaurants for granted. We regret not going to Caseus more too. Who would have thought Jason would’ve hung up the towel for reasons that decidedly were not financial but personal?

Bentara was awesome! I totally forgot about that place.

Jacob Marley's in Orange on the Post Rd was another good one back in the day.

Roomba and Bentara--used to love those living in NH in the early 2000s. Roomba had the BEST ceviche.

Also Caseus...that was a blow when they closed.

I used to love Assaggio in Branford, but they closed about two years ago.

Anyone know if Home in Branford is still there?
