The Surf Club and Jennings are by far the two best beaches I’ve been to in the state. Very clean, well kept, and even have a cafe at the beaches! Jennings can get crowded at times, but it’s a really nice beach.

Jacob’s in Guilford is quite a bit smaller, but it’s also a pretty nice beach and has some scenery around it. Although if you go west a bit, there’s some real Maine Like Scenery around the areas of Indian Cove, Bloody Cove, Vineyard Point, and Sachems Head. However, there aren’t technically beaches around that area. There are a few extremely tiny beaches that are mostly deserted as well as a few private ones.
I haven't been to these ones, and I've never stopped in Madison before. I might check it out. Rhode Island and Cape beaches are more of a go to for me. But I like some of the cove beaches I've seen on the sound like Rocky Neck, Waterford Town Beach, even Niantic is pretty nice if you don't mind the trains. What I like in particular about Waterford is the view into eastern LI Sound, one of the rocky headlands overlooks Ocean Beach and the entrance to New London harbor, and the walking path out to the beach through the marsh has a nice view of the lighthouse. The sand is perfect and there's seemingly decent water quality.

My favorite towns in Connecticut are all the shoreline towns between Old Saybrook and Stonington and all the river towns between Middletown and the Sound. I always find a lot to do in that area. I wouldn't mind taking a boat cruise out to the Thimbles. I have a thing for islands. If I'm there in the summer I'll probably check out some more Shoreline East towns like Madison.

No digs on FFC, I know it's nice there. But it's a bit too much white knuckle driving for me. I like what I saw of Milford when I went to Silver Sands SP.

Silver Sands is a great state park beach. Can get pretty crowded at times, but I do love that state park and beach a lot!

I do love the variety of our coastline. You’d probably like the Anchor Beach area in Milford.

You gotta check out Madison and Guilford when you get a chance! Guilford especially is so pretty and an amazing town!

Definitely do the Thimble Island cruise. It’s amazing. Do a twilight cruise and you can see in many of the homes on the islands and along the shore. Just stunning.

Also check out Hammonasset State Park in Madison. The beach there is pretty nice. Stop by RJ Julia Bookstore in Madison. It’s a classic. And for good seafood check out Lenny & Joe’s in Westbrook. So good.
