People don't associate Groton with Mystic and Noank as much as they do the less attractive stretches of Rt 1 and Rt 12. Stonington gets all the credit. Also I think Groton school rankings are brought down a bit by so many lower SES military kids for people who give weight to that.

I think some people hear of a nuclear powerplant and get scared. Too bad for them, Waterford is a gem! Such a nice suburban town with amazing beaches and tons of gorgeous woods and next to NL/ near Mystic. It's so underrated in this tournament

Also, to defend my Bozrah vote:

I went to Glastonbury for the first time last summer and I wasn't too impressed, and I've actually been to Bozrah once. Call me a tree hugger for voting for it... hahaha

You weren’t impressed? Where in Glastonbury were you? Couldn’t have been around the entire town.

Glastonbury is a beautiful town full of history and beautiful scenery and is one of the most desirable suburbs of Hartford. We have an attractive town center with great stores and restaurants; lots of wonderful farms that sell fresh produce in season; beautiful neighborhoods that rival what you have in Fairfield; one of the largest collections of historic homes in New England; the oldest continually operating ferry in the country; and award winning commercial developments. I’m not sure what more you would want or expect.

You say you are a tree lover. Glastonbury has literally thousands of acres of State forest (Meshomasic State Forest), town owned conservation land, preserved farmlands and preserved watershed land. I doubt Bozrah has more. But that is your choice.

I know I was thinking the same thing. If he was just in the center / downtown, I can understand. I do like the downtown in Glastonbury and love how green it is, but it’s not super special or unique in a way that would impress a lot of people. That being said, there’s way more to Glastonbury than just downtown. I love south Glastonbury, east Glastonbury and the area near Blackledge Falls. There’s a lot of agriculture in the east Glastonbury area as well.

Honestly I doubt he actually explored the town as a whole.
