hi

id love to hear your opinions about which cute little town with water (shoreline, lake or river - for viewing/walking not swimming), I cud find the most inexpensive accommodations

is it possible to get a room for $100 a nite in something akin to a B&B?

havent found it yet after a bunch of web and craigslist search

tryin Madison and Niantic so far

Madison and Niantic are not near Hartford. they are about an hour away. Hartford is an inland city on the Connecticut River. There is not a lot near Hartford for that price. You might check a lake in eastern Connecticut which is generally less expensive. Good luck, Jay

Not possible on the ocean to find a 100 dollar a night room. They just aren't out their...and if they were they'd have to be pretty scary looking.
I would agree a lake or something might be cheapest. Though their aren't TONS of hotels near small lakes that i know of.

Not anywhere near Hartford, nor is it a B&B, but this property is Long Island Sound Beachfront:

That all depends on the season ofcourse.

My parents own a place on Cape Cod, located in New Seabury. They often rent out their place for around $100-$130 a night off season after labor day. And this is a 700k rental, not a dump.
