What about from my home to Ridgefield? Say leaving from RTE 34 to RTE 7? Is 34-84-684 the only way to and from?Or are there any alt routes in case of anything?

I got called back on a second interview to what seems like a great car dealer and the owner said he would love to hire me.....as long as we can work out the pay plan. I actually drove to meet him today (they were having an employee appreciation BBQ)at the dealer and it took me 45 minutes with zero traffic.

It seems like a relatively easier commute compared to the hell I endure on the Merritt daily,no? Ridgfield is a good area?
If the money is close to my NY salary, this could be ......finally.......my ticket away from the Merritt and 5-6 hour rides home in snowstorms!

Ridgefield is an Excellent area. I'm not sure what your commute would be like, so I can't comment on that. Sorry...

Depends on where in Ridgefield. If the northern portion, then 34 to 84 is the way to go. If Branchville area, your commute will still suck.

Without traffic, your commute along 34/84 shouldn't be longer than 40 minutes.

Yes, 34>84>7 will be the most reliable commute. You could also do the Merritt when it's not too bad and either get off at Route 58 in Fairfield or 57 in Westport and take backroads.

It's the kind of commute where you'd really benefit from an app like Waze, which will give you the best route in real-time.

A MUCH better commute than you currently have.

All you need to know is the last sentence of stylo's post. No question about it. Period. Full stop.

Exit 42/route 57 is a great option as is 25 to back roads through eastbound/redding. Lots of options. Most are 30-40 mph average routes but never plagued with traffic.

The service dept. at BMW of Ridgefield is EXCELLENT, if that's what you're looking into. My service advisor was amazing. I just sold my BMW, but I would make the 35 mile trip to Ridgefield specifically for my service advisor.

The sales dept was lackluster, but I find that to be true at most dealerships.
