My friend and I are going to Foxwoods in two weeks for a show...or two! Rooms at Foxwoods are booked so I'm looking for a hotel close to Foxwoods. Anyone have any recommendations?

There really isn't all that much in Ledyard (the closest non-Foxwoods-owned town). Mystic or Groton are a better bet for chain places (like Comfort Inn and similar). There are B&Bs in Ledyard but 2 weeks notice isn't much. Have you checked the MGM Grand? In general, 2 weeks' notice for a tourist area that exists almost exclusively for tourists - in the summer, which is tourist season around here - is going to really limit your options.

North Stonington has a couple of motels/hotels that would be close to Foxwoods. Also you might want to check on hotels in the Mystic area which is not too far. Jay

Could swing over by the other side, something close to 395. I know there's a motel near Exit 85 in Griswold, about 10 miles away up Route 164 (though I believe it's on 138). Then there's a bunch of stuff on Route 32, near Mohegan Sun. And Norwich has options.

2 suggestions in North Stonington:

The Bellissimo
or
Cedar Park Inn (which takes pets)

Both have complimentary limousine service to Foxwoods.
