This one doesn't sound like it's going to be fun, for your husband. Bristol is the only city in CT with no highway going through it. Because of this, the traffic on Route 6 is awful at all times of the day, so it will take probably 10-15 min just to get into/out of the city. Stamford to Bristol sounds like a nightmare of a commute, either way.

ESPN is located on the Southington border, not far from I-84. Note that the original post of this thread is over a year old but the recent one relates to commuting into Stamford, not necessarily to Bristol. Jay

Yeah, I know that ESPN is along Route 229 near Southington, but someone suggested that the OP use Route 8 north to Route 6 east, which would not be a pleasant drive. But now that you mention that this is a revived old thread, I guess I wasn't aware of that!
