June 1, 1956. Springfield, MA had a Tornado. F1. Coincidence or signs it was exactly 55 years to the date.

I will assume an EF3 is confirmed for sure. Storms are more violent past 7 years and will get worse imo.

Ya know, I dont know if they are getting more violent or are getting better aim at populated areas. Its like they are zoning in on cities which never seemed to happen. Definitely a bad year though. Every time they put up a tornado watch down here I go on edge now. See what your warm weather does sun lovers! Snowstorms are nothing compared to the terror of living through a tornado or hurricane.

Frost Advisories up for NY and PA. Make sure you protect your plants if your area will hit 30s tonight. (should just be 40s in CT)

Going to be a nice dry crisp night all around. Breath in...breath out.. Enjoy.

Tomorrow back to mid 70s. I wish it did this all summer.

Here's a map of the 6000 foot level above us...notice the 20s up there. lol

Not as cold this morning as I thought (I see 50s everywhere......coldest reading I could find was 51 in Danbury......though even NYC is below 60 at 58). The only 40s I found within reasonable distance of CT was 45 in Pittsfield, MA. But except for possible thundershowers Sat night and Sunday looks like nice and only slightly warmer weather through midweek.....perfect (I like warmer weather but not the brutal heat and especially humidity of earlier this week.....especially since I work in a lot of places with little or no A/C).

ooops, sorry. US NODC Coastal Water Temperature Guide

Check out South Carolina. Water temps are 83, should be 79. Beaches must be full of people in the water but at what temp does the water get too uncomfortable to be in?

Is it possible "being full of people in the water" raises the water temp a little from all that "body heat"?
