Hi guys,

I'm considering some job opportunities in Stamford. I live in Glastonbury now but would need to move closer, something within a 30 minute commute would be ideal!

If possible I'd like to keep rent to $1,000 with possibly some utilities included.

I'd like to be in a town comparable to Glastonbury, Newington, Manchester.

Given that criteria, do you guys have any suggestions?

Thanks in advance!

Stamford is kind of in the center of some of the most expensive real estate in the country. Finding an apartment in a town comparable to Glastonbury within 30 minutes of there will be difficult. Norwalk is a bit similar to Manchester and may have places but you need to be careful with location. Fairfield is very nice but there would be limited apartments in that price range and they would be more than 30 minutes from Stamford during rush hour. You might want to check Stratford too. It is a nice town with decent neighborhoods and you might find somethig there in your price range. Good luck, Jay

Perhaps you could find something in the residential sections of Norwalk for $1000 or slightly more, not including utilities. It won't be as nice as what you've got in Glastonbury for that price, but could come close.
