as follow up--
I still really like my Roku streaming stick but I often have issue with the remote losing sync w/the stick itself.
Have to do a reboot to the remote--remove batteries, push the small botton at bottom of remote, reinstall batteries and then wait to see if remote will beam signal to reconnect...

I would be very interested to know if anyone had gone through the process to create a private channel for your own Roku that allows you to beam Internet streaming channels not already set up for Roku--
like maybe an NFL game that is not available on your local OTA/cable system...

apparently there is way to do it--
found the website with instructions but not really talented enough to work it out for myself...
