The Nano is 2 years old - I cant remember what generation, but its my 10 year old's. I need to know is there any chance to get it repaired - it just went dead one day - no warning - no nothing. There isnt an Apple store convenient, but I certainly can make a trip to one - if it might be fruitful. Please let me know your experiences. (she got a new one for her 10th birthday - but I was hoping to give this one to her little brother and not have to buy him one!
i had the same thing happen to my nano. a reset didn't work either.
the help guide on apple's website said to download the newest version of itunes and see what happens, which i did, and afterwards plugged in my ipod. it miraculously came back to life. i thought there was no way that would solve it, but it did. the ipod was wiped and after a quick sync it was ready to go.
