Hi all,
My husband is considering a job that could land us in the CC area within the next 4-6 weeks. His office will be in Robstown (I've read not to live there). So we are looking at the Calallen area. It's very possible that we will have to move down and find a house site unseen. We have a house to sell first so we will likely rent for 6-12 mos.

Particularly, there is a new rental on Craigslist on Cox Circle in south Calallen. Can anyone provide insight on this area? Safe? Clean?

We have no children, one dog, and both have successful, professional careers. We would prefer a more upscale neighborhood. However, as long as it's clean and safe, we are open. We definitely have to have a house (as opposed to an apt.) with a fenced yard (for our dog).

Any insight you could provide would be MUCH appreciated!

Thanks in advance!

Yes, it's a safe, clean area. I also recommend going to googlemaps.com and typing in "Cox Circle 78410" if you haven't already and taking a look to make sure it fits your taste. Good luck and let us know how everything goes. Have a smooth move.

Not too far from Robstown is CalAllen,,, a bit north, right up hiway 624, otherwise known as Northwest Blvd, is River Oaks, which is a super good neighborhood. Check it out.

And don't get confused, there are several places out 624 (Northwest Blvd.) that are very nice but your actual address will be Robstown. When people mention stay away from Robstown they mean the actual town.

Calallen in general is pretty safe. If you prefer an upscale neighborhood, Cox Circle is not for you. Try Wood River or River Hills, they are both much better.
