I love to cruise and almost booked one 6 months ago for Spring break in March out of New York. Glad I changed my mind! I know it's hard to say what the future holds with this pandemic, but I'm curious how many of you will still plan to cruise once this is all over and hopefully back to normal? Has this pandemic and the way cruise lines handled the situation changed your mind on cruising in the future?

No, the idea of it grosses me out.

They are floating petri dishes.

Will probably do another river cruise at some point- the small ships (fewer than 200 passengers) and leisurely approach to travel work well for us. I've never done an ocean cruise and the mainline ones sound like my idea of travel hell.

I don't know. I've flirted with the idea of going on a cruise for several years.. If the Cuba travel hadn't been banned.. I likely would have done that.

honestly.. Not really my thing.. I'm a ginger.. Or at least was when I had hair. I burst into flame worse than a vampire when exposed to the sun..

This will give me pause on considering it any further.. But I doubt it will be the straw.

I never have, but I always wanted to. That was pre-corona. Once this thing is all done, I won't have any serious fear of getting ill on a cruise ship, but this whole affair had made me prioritize certain things (to include travel) differently.

I don’t enjoy large cruise ships, but I’d certainly consider doing a small ship cruise again, as I’ve enjoyed those in the past.

Absolutely will. The wife and I enjoy cruising a whole lot.

My 2020 vacation as of today is still booked... 10 night Hawaii out of Vancouver on Ovation of the Seas on Sept 17th. If it is cancelled we may fly there instead and do another cruise in 2021. Or do something else like driving to the Grand Canyon. Right now Royal is offering cancellations up till Sept 1st. No plans to cancel though but with the whole cruise ships barred from visiting Canada thing going on I'm not expecting our cruise to happen. Nothing I'm losing sleep over either way.

On a side note.. I grabbed a bunch of Royal stock a few weeks ago at the 52 week low right after everything tanked... if everything rebounds in the next year or two I'll make enough to go on a dozen cruises.

Did one cruise to the Bahamas about 4 years ago and hated it.

Now with E. Coli, rotavirus, salmonella outbreaks and now people dying like flies during the COVID pandemic and ships not even allowed to come to port, I will probably not think of a cruise anytime. I should have done Alaska cruise in the past. That is the only one I really care about to see.
