Yeah, I read this in RollingStone ... Star's living a few miles away from Manson's home (Corcoran Penitentiary) with a 50-yo disciple who calls himself Gray Wolf. They both carved X's on their foreheads ... how romantic!

Perfect match?..he's got 43 years of "media fame"...she's got 5 mins...and wouldn't even have that if it weren't for Manson...

I agree. The only thing Charlie was any good at was attracting lost and lonely girls and pimping them. He was always getting into 2-bit trouble where his girls were the cause in some way or other.

Charlie was like Gary Gilmore in one way. Both of them were always being convicted of what is usually a minor crime, like auto theft, then driving across state lines which always amplified the crime. The big difference was Charlie was usually a good convict and Gilmore was an angry one; Gilmore would get years tacked on to a light sentence for acting out, and Charlie always did his time and got out upon sentence completion.

Manson is no genius, but he spent all his time in prison learning how to manipulate others. He's 77 now, and is just trifling with the young girl.

He won't ever be released. He is way too notorious, especially after Squeaky Fromme, one of his girls, tried to shoot President Ford. Squeaky did 25 years and was released, but Charlie, the mastermind, will never walk out of the prison gates as long as his victim's relatives are still alive. Tate's family has been diligent for all these years and always show up at every parole hearing whether he does or not.

A perfect example of why people like Manson should be executed quickly after conviction.

Ordinarily I believe that life without is a life in hell which is richly deserved. Consequently, I'm no fan of the death penalty. Manson would be a rare exception to that belief as he genuinely enjoys prison life. That's why he no longer attends his own parole hearings. He doesn't want to be cut loose.
