Pretty much only America. I believe the substantial majority of the world uses 16 as the age of consent.

Think THEN post.

"Just as illegal". How do you determining how illegal something is? Either all illegal acts are illegal, or more severe acts are more illegal. If all illegal acts are illegal, then there is no need for suggesting that it might be the same amount of illegality. If all illegal acts are not inherently illegal, then what we call "assault with a chemical weapon" is definitely worse than "voyeurism".

What he did was creepy and improper. Most likely, he knows how it got on the web. If so, he's a real a**hole. However, her response was also completely wrong. Having a sex tape (not rape) released against your will and knowledge is definitely damaging, but not on the same level as having your dick burned off with acid so you have to pee through a straw for the rest of your life.

Some of these responses are just...

What this girl did was barbaric behavior and for people, especially women to condone this or think it's somehow "justified" due to what he did is sickening. What if it were the other way around and a man poured acid on a girl's breast(s) would that be okay? I bet regardless of what offense she had done people would be saying he deserves decades of incarceration yet this psycho girl doesn't? I don't care that she's fairly young, this is COMPLETELY inexcusable behavior and I'd be fine with her being sent to prison for 10 years at least!

Evidently his young girlfriend was ignorant about the effects of the type of acid she used, as she "didn't intend to kill his penis". Whether he thinks she deserves it or not, the girl should face some charges for this. If for no other reason than sheer stupidity.
Turnabout is fair play. She should undergo "female circumcision"...via acid.

The thread is creeping me out, with people here justifying an acid attack as a response to shaming. Not far off from the muslims who throw acid on women for dishonoring them. Now we have an idea from what recesses of the lizard brain these Muslim honor revenge tendencies come from, the same place as the hellish fury of a woman scorned. Don't forget your prenup gents! It might not save your penis but at least it could save your finances.
