Good for him. Honestly, the political temper tantrum coming from Democrats would be funny if it wasn't so sad. Seriously, Nancy Pelosi "near tears" (http://thehill.com/homenews/house/23...at-bibi-insult) and all of the name calling simply because the speech didn't go through the formal "diplomatic channels?" Give me a break!

Having written that, I don't exactly see eye to eye with Netanyahu on the issue. And, note, he has been wrong on this matter before (even the Israeli spy agency has stated that Iran isn't and hasn't been developing a bomb, despite previous claims by Netanyahu). Quite frankly, even if Iran gets the bomb in the future, I do not believe that they would preemptively use it against Israel or any other nation for that matter. Contrary to some beliefs, I do not see the Mullahs/leadership of Iran as suicidal (and they know that nuking Israel would be suicide as Israel has nukes on submarines that could wipe Iran off the race of the map in retaliation for such a strike). Moreover, I don't believe that Iran's leadership believes in obtaining this weapon/using it due to the nation's own history of being the victim of WMDs (i.e. Saddam using WMDs against Iranian troops and civilians during the First Persian Gulf War). Sure, the Mullahs talk a hateful talk and are sick people because of it, but I don't believe that they'd act on that talk for the reasons outlined. Not to mention that the Mullahs/Iranian leadership fondly looks back on the storied history of the Persian Empire and are seeking to build another such empire (they know that nuking Israel, which would be suicide, would make such a vision impossible).

That said, I will not fault any leader of the Jewish people for aggressively working to ensure that parties/states that are outwardly antisemitic and who have threatened Israel's very existence (history has shown that threats can lead to disaster for the Jewish people) do not ever obtain the capability to get such a weapon. Or, at the very least, hamper the ability to obtain such a weapon.

LOL! Stop. Elizabeth Warren, if that's who you're referring to, is bought and paid for by the mortgage lenders and the billionaire lefty-ideologues. She's a POLITICIAN. Why is it that time and time again people are led to believe that, you know, certain politicians are not corrupt liars, while admitting that pretty much every other one is? It's well documented she takes money from the DSCC, which is nothing but a bunch of Wall Street banks, there is the CFPB b/s she was a part of, she takes money from the AMA but then claims to be taking on Big Pharma, who is completely in bed with the AMA, and the list goes on. She's a fraud just like all the rest. Oh, and, she's a Cherokee Indian, too, right?

Last post here. It's too ludicrous for me to see the support of the nutcase from Israel by the nutcases here and all those who actually believe it was okay to do.

Look at what happened to Pelosi in context! I expected negative comments about her because the media wants its viewers hooked on them and boy, did they get them.

I'm aware of Ms. Warren's connections. Your last comment was xxxxx (that's xxxxx by me). I also know where her battle lines are drawn.

Surely you jest about Warren. Fauxcahontas got "sucked into the mess" long ago. In fact, she's part of the mess. And she followed the rest of the Obamabots with respect to Netanyahu's speech. Clearly, no one wanted to hear what real leadership sounds like.

I don't get the point of voting, you vote, you don't vote, you still get the same khm.. politicians.

I am sure we all agree that would would not be a better place if Iran had nukes. The problem is that Obama can't think of a way to prevent Iran from getting nukes. I do not trust his foreign policy.

But when I lookup Elections 2016 candidates, I don't see any-one worth voting for either. That means that the next guy will not do a better job either.

Have you read her campaign finance reports?

I thought it was a great speech. I was also glad to see both sides of the aisle give him standing O's. It made this past week of hand wringing seem rather silly. I agree that Iran shouldn't have the bomb. If Israel chooses to stop them all by their lonesome, so be it. Thanks for posting the link, I think it's wise for folks to listen to the primary source and not the pundits.
I read rather than watched the speech (link to transcript). Simply put, it was a masterpiece.

It lays out for the Western world that we don't have to negotiate surrender on the installment plan. If Iran and other similar states or non-state actors are cut off from the civilized world, the lower price of oil will do the rest.

These are not countries that have developed their human potential. They have specialized primarily in finding ways to create and then butcher enemies. The entire history of radical Islam has been one of anger, fighting and reprisals. Exceptions such as Moorish Spain and Indonesia are only partial exceptions and are "border states." They were/are as to radical Islam as Virginia, during the years leading up to the Civil War was to South Carolina.

There is no precedent because we have no president - when it comes to foreign policy. He (BN) had to get our attention somehow. Obama has it all wrong on Iran...he is being manipulated by them. They are masterful at this.

From day one, Obama - who I was neutral on but felt he was unprepared for the job, made us look like a bunch of ignorant buffoons overseas. His foreign policy and leadership is the weakest I've seen in the last 40 years. He is viewed by Europeans as unsophisticated in protocol, and foreign relations. He clearly does not understand the psyche of Middle Easterners and thus their leadership. If he did, he would know that many middle easterners (especially Iranians) are raised to hate Israel and yearn for its death and annihilation of its citizens. You can be guaranteed that the deal they have negotiated has a secret, built in plan, to continue working towards nuclear arms so that they can wipe Israel off the map. And, if they are able, they'd love to take us out too. This was, and is, their goal.

I am not stating any of this from a partisan perspective. I think both major parties have some fence mending and revamping to do to get rid of the dead wood and update their platform. They need to earn the respect of the American ppl that has been lost these past many years. America is tired of lying, corrupt politicians who do not care for their constituents.

As for Netanyahu, one has to respect that he is fighting for his ppl and the survival of his country. Many here cannot comprehend this as we don't face the daily challenges he/Israel has by being surrounded by countries who desire their annihilation and raise their children to desire the same. Can you imagine if Canada and Mexico were sworn enemies, and rained down rockets on us regularly, and we had to have conscription and be prepared to send each of our children to the army for 3 years when they turned 18? We'd have some whining citizenry. How would we feel if our buses and shopping malls were regularly bombed? I just think it's hard for many here to put themselves in the Israelis shoes having grown up in a country that hasn't had to fear this folks just don't have a frame of reference. Anyhow, Israelis take this in stride and know they must be prepared for war at any moment. They don't go looking for war, they simply want to live in peace.

Israel problems won't go away, but they can be managed with our help. I respect that BN was willing to take this risk of coming to speak to the American ppl.
