GREEN TOWNSHIP, Ohio (WKBN) – A source close to the investigation into a south side fire that claimed three lives early Monday told 27 First News reporter Gerry Ricciutti that a search conducted at the Green Township home of rape suspect Robert Seman Jr. is directly related to the fire.
The source said when Seman, 46, showed up in court on Monday, he had burns on his body. He concealed it at the time by using makeup.
It was not until Wednesday that they discovered this and had to take him to the hospital for treatment, the source said.
Agents from Ohio BCI were at the Calla Road home of Seman on Thursday. There were about a dozen unmarked cars and two vans marked BCI Crime Lab in the driveway, which were captured on video by our news crew. The house sits a few hundred yards off the road.
Seman is accused of raping the 10-year-old girl who was killed in the Powers Way fire. Seman’s trial was supposed to begin on Monday and his bond was revoked after the fire, which also killed the girl’s grandparents.
And the mother of the 10 year old victim was found at the rape suspects home. What on earth was she doing there? So sad for the little girl and grandparents.

A body else find it ironic that this is a story about a rapist named Seman?
That was the first thing I noticed, actually.
