Not even Fox News? What a bunch of PC pussycats.

Mick

P.S. Is this your wild guess or is there a (legitimate) source for this? Linky?

Sorry, it's just my intuition...based on history.

And seeing how an Arab prince hows a chunk of Fox News, I doubt we'll get the truth from them either.

Why haven't we seen photos of the engineer? Hmmmm. Could he...oh,..be mistaken for a middle easterner by stupid Americans who cling tightly to their Bibles and their guns?

It's being covered up! Already they are scrambling to spare the followers of Islam any shame.

According to a train expert I listened to on CNN was saying that there's an automatic system that warns of too high of speed and then will take control and reduce speed if nothing is done.

That statement would leave one to believe there's more to this then anyone is saying right now.
The Andreas Lubitz of trains? Anyone consider that? :-(

Damn Germans.

But seriously, you might be right in that, how does a train that is supposed to be running at 50 mph end up at 100 mph? I suppose it could happen due to malfunction, etc.

Mick

The train took the curve at 106 mph and braking was too late. There are still people who are missing, but it is not known whether they ever got on the train after purchasing a ticket. The authorities are now doing recovery and are looking for bodies.

Kudos to the first responders who did a wonderful job and to all of the hospital employees, police, and city workers who worked tirelessly through the night.

I commend Mayor Michael Nutter for how he has handled this situation for Philly. Earlier today, a reporter tried to make this into a political situation and Mayor Nutter immediately stopped that discussion. It would be refreshing if every politician acted as the Mayor did.

The engineer is not talking and they have not released the name of the engineer.

Condolences to the families of the victims. RIP to the victims.

I believe the engineer hit a curve doing at least twice the posted speed limit.

What infrastructure investments (ie spending bills) should Republicans approve that would prevent these sort of things from happening?

They've gone back under their rock after making fools of themselves.

Lather, rinse, repeat.
