Corn subsidies make it cheap to grow. Food stamps provide the secondary subsidy for the junk.

Trans fats ( Crisco) were originally developed as a lubricant for mechanical parts used in heavy industry. Our bodies did not evolve digesting these fats, unlike natural fats, so it merely stores them in the liver.

That's why the guys liver was so messed up in " supersize me"

I always got chided because I bought the box of Lard and not the box of Crisco.
