Should we not ban a substance that is linked to thousands of deaths annually, particularly among the more poverty stricken in our society because people choose to smoke cigarettes in spite of all the known dangers?

The corn industry is propped up by the government. If the government stopped subsidizing the industry it would lose it's power and the price of HFCS could normalize, making beet and cane sugars competitive in the market.

The first candidate that goes into Iowa and says "yiu know, its been a great ride for you folks but it doesnt seem fair for 49 other states to be subsidizing you, so when I'm president, most corn subsidies will be revoked" automatically gets my vote, regardless of party.
