You'll find those on opposite side did same. People are free to support and even donate to causes they wish to and have a interest in.

This is not "donating to the cause", this is bribery. People elected to the public office should not be allowed to be bribed. It takes two sides for bribery to occur. And this is not a problem specific to any one party. We have the best government money can buy, and it's no longer working for us (if it ever did).

Just as your individual rights end when they start infringing on other people's rights, the right to donate to the cause should be restricted when it starts corrupting the democratic system and interfering with public good. The lawmakers should not be allowed to sell out the best interests of those who voted them into the office to advance the interests of those who pay them. Especially since a lot of these special interests are no longer American and don't necessarily work to benefit this country. "Corporations are people" is BS and a lot of these corporations are no longer American corporations. But I have very little hope that this would ever be fixed.

Meanwhile the MSM is doing their job for their Democratic masters, and keeping the peasants entertained with faux outrage over the rebel flag.

I think the OP's opin is self explanatory.

To me, this explains all the other demagogic nonsense inundating the media - confederate flags, gay marriages, racists attacks and other fodder to keep you not looking at the real deal.

Good catch OP. Nice to see someone is awake.

  • Out of the total $1,148,971 given, an average of $17,676.48 was donated to each of the 65 “yea” votes.
  • The average Republican member received $19,673.28 from corporate TPP supporters.
  • The average Democrat received $9,689.23 from those same donors

And then it goes on to state specific amounts particular senators were paid to cave in and grant Obama the fast track.
