Great thread... sometimes it's great to talk about the lighter things in life.
I actually think (hope) this will be a very good movie.
Love that practical effects/sets are going to be used. And that the original actors will appear.
From people I've read (who are old school Star Wars fans) that have visited the set, they are unanimous that Abrams is really making these movies true to the original series.
I think the only complaint/criticism I've read is about the lightsaber crossguard (I guess for some, this is a BIG complaint)
However seeing professional comments and demonstrations on this... it seems like it's a non-issue
Friend of mine went to comic con this year. Sad the whole town of San Diego goes nuts. People just walk around the neighborhoods dressed as Darth Vader. One year I must go. Can't wait for this December.
