He runs a CARTEL. Do you think he will be by himself and unprotected? Even if he is on the lam, I'd bet it would be easier to break into Fort Knox than to capture El Chapo and live to tell about it. Heck, even Chuck Norris would think twice about this one.

Your kidding, right? These guys dug a mile tunnel to get him out, probably paid off a bunch of Prison employees too, and spared no expense on getting the "Boss" out.
No one would ever know? Sure they would. Some one would have to know, for you to get the money. Do you seriously think everyone would keep their Mouths shut once it was leaked by the Cartel that there would be a 5 or 10 million dollar reward, no questions asked, for the head of who turned him in? You would be dead in a week, probably along with everyone else you knew close to you. Sooner or later, you would be ratted out.
I prefer my family alive to 500 million dollars that I'll never be able to enjoy once I'm dead and my family dead. If he showed up on my door and needed to lay low for five days until his cartel buddies could get him out, I'd make up the guest room. I'd probably still end up dead but better chance of living than I'd count on from wit sec. Look what happened to the Flores brothers, and I guaranty they're about a thousand times more badass than I am. F that.
I'd pop him in the head from a few hundred yards. Then call the chief of police, tell them I'll turn over the gun to prove who got him and give them half the reward under the condition I remain anonymous. If they refuse, at least I took the arse out. Course in this day and age, I'd probably be arrested for murder, hate crimes, and called a racist.
Yea, that would work. No one would even dream of turning you in for a few measly Millions of dollars in cash, which you know the Cartel would offer. The Cops would protect you. No such thing as a dirty cop who would turn over on you for, lets say, 10 million in cash? Chump change. You would be 100% safe and not have to look over your shoulder each minute of the day, or wonder each day, if that was "The" Day.

i saw on the news this guy "El Chapo" is wanted for big money. thought to myself if i saw him on the street. i would probably catch him ( i have no idea how)
Calling El Chapo a mere 'drug dealer' is like calling Tony Soprano 'a guy who doesn't report all his income' - both are true but both entirely miss the point.
And would you 'catch' El Chapo before or after dispatching his posse of henchmen, who go everywhere he goes but who you may not even see?

Smart man. Same here. Anything he wanted or needed. All these "Heros" out here really have no clue as to how an organization like this operates, or the resources they have at their disposal.

Oh, yea, and that works every time, since Money is of no interest to all the dozens of people involved in that either. Do you want us to believe you would then be safe and not ever have to worry about revenge? These people spend more effort and kill more people for a lot less. You would spend your life with an open Death Warrant on you, and people actively looking for you and your "New" name.
