Possibly. But not that porn is much more easily available than it was in the past, we very likely have more porn addicts than in the past.

That's what everyone says. But the more easily available these things are, the more addicts you will have. Anyway, I don't want to derail this thread into the topic of porn addiction; but I will say that I think a lot of people don't take such a thing seriously. Due to the fact that porn is now freely available on the internet, porn addiction has almost certainly increased.

No I don't think so. The smarter ones who are politicians have signed up under other names, or done things to disguise who they really are. Seems Senator McSleeze and Representative Perv are safe for now, unless someone unravels the puzzle that is likely their AM membership. A good place to start is the political aids who work for them, all those .gov email addresses belong to someone. I am sure underlings have signed up for them, that is the best chance of catching a "big fish". They say Washington DC has more members than anyother place in America per capita. In Canada the biggest place is Ottowa. What a coincidence that those two cities are crawling with sleezy politicians. I smell a rat, but finding it is another story.

I think this is a valid point. Certainly not all adults who view porn have sexually abused children. However, since we know Josh sexually abused girls when he was a teen ( and perhaps other times we've not yet learned about .....yet), admitted on his Ashley Madison account that he had been unfaithful to his wife, paid the $200-250 fee to *guarantee an extramarital sexual encounter,*
plus the pics he had of almost exclusively *female friends* on his made up Facebook account and more, Josh has got major problems with controlling his sexual impulses. But, we know Quiverfull teaches it's the wife's duty to satisfy her husband and sexually abused girls are *responsible* per Quiverfull, if a male sexually abuses or assaults her. A girl must have had a low neck or shown her arms or something, if a male couldn't control his need to dominate her sexually.

I hope as a result of more we learn about Josh, others will be examined in this movement. I don't believe ever male, even in Quiverfull, agrees with Josh and his parents about a woman's role.

I'm not a fan of JB, but I don't feel like he has cheated on M. the way Josh has totally disregarded his vows to Anna.

Impulse control seems to be a factor too, along with feeling entitled and smarter than others so he wouldn't be caught. That is a Narcissistic trait.

I must be confused danielj. I've posted earlier I have zero experience with Ashley Madison, so some of my comments are based on what *real Ashley Madison account owners* have posted and I could be wrong. Per several posts of Ashley Madison account holders, they cut and pasted parts of his account. He didn't disguise himself well enough, given his past sexual abuse of his sisters and another. He didn't use his real name, but he lied about many things. Reportedly, he posted he was a college grad working *in politics* He worked for a lobby group, he wasn't in politics. He made up a different email address, no way was he emailing back home in AR and elsewhere with that one!

I do agree with you that smarter people have others set up their accounts.

What a seriously disgusting guy Josh Duggar is. I get more grossed out the more I read. Sick ****. And this family disgusts me more than ever, too. The only ones I feel sorry for are the daughters.

I agree, JerseyGirl. Their only hope, though, is to leave that cult and get intense psychotherapy to learn their value as women is much more than their reproductive potential and their *ability* to keep a husband sexually satisfied. There are no boundaries to protect women.

The young ladies, all of whom will be 18 y.o. within the next two months, will somehow have to break away to get the help they need. In a culture where the oldest girls raised the younger children their mom kept producing, it would take four or five siblings leaving together and living somewhere away from AR together to be successful. They won't make it alone. The women were raised to not have skills beyond the home, except unless they pertained to midwifery or other aspects of raising children.

They all could work at even minimum wage jobs cleaning in a hotel or the wrecker business. I think they could make it pooling their resources. It would be critical to have sibling support to get "de-programmed from Quiverfull," for both the boys and girls. Only they can change the cycle they were raised in, and change their lives.

I really wish I had the means to help them. Some celebrities or people with a lot of money and resources should try to reach out. Hell, why don't people from TLC, or why didn't they at any point, pull the girls aside and quietly tell them their options and offer to help? I doubt any of it will work, but it's worth a shot. So sad. It's like they're living in another era. It's 2015 and they get limited and monitored TV and internet time, they don't get the opportunity to go to college or socialize with anyone outside their family or cult, they don't get to even move away from their family if they wish. They're stuck, and they've been raised to think of themselves as baby makers. It's awful.

I again agree with you, JerseyGirl. TLC could certainly finance a "recovery house" away from AR and the parents. The kids have to be physically separated to be able to look at what their parents didn't do for them: protect, nurture and seek appropriate treatment for all their kids. But they would need to have appropriate treatment and get jobs plus maybe start college, even on a p/t biasis. Jana, the oldest daughter wasn't allowed to attend a Christian College to study nursing. I'd love to see that happen. The parents acted like she wanted to attend Berkley or somewhere and major in comparative Pot Uses, or New Uses etc. There was nothing excessive about her request.

What happens to those who have infertility problems? I wonder how those women and men are treated? Of course with Quiverfull, despite 1/3 of fertility problems being due to the male, the females are probably blamed 100 % of the time. That makes me sad.

This is all the girls know. They have no TV even though their family was on TV. This group Independent Fundamentalist Baptist/Gothard followers believe in "separatism" they don't associate with people that don't believe exactly like them. That is why they go to the annual conference in "Big Sandy" and that is where Josh met Anna. Only IFB (Independent Fundamentalist Baptist/Gothard types) to associate with. That is why the Duggars from Arkansas are good friends with the Bates family from Tennessee.

You and I see them as stuck but they don't see it that way at all. Remember how shocked they were that "the world" was upset over Josh molesting four of his sisters when they felt it was "no big deal." I feel the most sorry for Anna, she is stuck with Josh the perv. In this group divorce does not happen. And knowing this group Anna will feel it is her fault that he strayed. Yes I agree it is very sad but I know many in this group and they feel far superior to "the world" as they are the ones "really" saved. They feel all Christians that are not IFB are heretics. Trust me, I have some IFB in my family and it is really hard to be around them. After all I am a heretic.
