The findings establish an increasing frequency of incidents annually.
During the first 7 years included in the study, an average of 6.4 incidents occurred annually. In the last 7 years of the study, that average increased to 16.4 incidents annually.
I wonder if that can be linked to the increasing use of prescription drugs like prozac amongst young people?
No … They clearly wrote the Second Amendment to maintain a "well-reguilated militia," not to provide an endless unregulated supply of guns and ammo to deranged gun nuts ...
I agree, how do we keep firearms out of the hands of crazy people without limiting the ability of law abiding citizens to protect their families? This is the quagmire.
I happen to agree that, "Guns don't kill people; people keep people …"
The ongoing relentless gun violence problem in America obviously demonstrates
that it is far far far too easy for people to get access to guns and ammo
who should have NO access to guns and ammo … (duh) …
BTW … I am not "anti-gun" …
I am a responsible gun owner, in favor of greatly restricting and controlling access to guns and ammo ...
Scenario: Two kids in the playground are play-fighting with sticks. It ends in tears. One option remove the sticks. Other option give all the kids in the playground a stick. Stand back and see what happens.

Definitely.
There is something wrong with a country in which cannabis is on Schedule 1 and Prozac, Paxil and other SSRIs aren't even scheduled, despite their known link to murders and suicides.
All SSRIs should be on Schedule 1. That's the only thing that will reduce the shootings. Cannabis works much better without the side effects.

Removing 2 sticks is a little easier than removing 320 million that you don't know exactly where they are.

"The best solution for a bad kid with a stick is a good kid with a stick!"
I agree - what a dumb solution.
It's right up there with "Well, I guess gun control laws don't work!", where 'work' = prevents every instance of gun violence ever. Of course, no one claims any law will do such a thing. By that logic, I guess laws against murder don't work. Or laws against terrorism. Or laws against rape.

Once again I urge you to take it where it belongs:
