Any place but Commiefornia and the guy wouldda got shot by the cabbie. At least it would have back when I drove a cab for a summer.
Ummmm....he got fired in California, from a high paying job due to this. And no unemployment either, and he can forget getting anything close as a replacement job.
That's going to hurt a lot more in the long run than getting shot.
This is an example of the problem in larger America but people can't/won't see it.
A 1% er whom has no problem assaulting what he sees as feudal servant working for Uber.
And his douche buddies will cover it up and find him another job, he will go to a Christian recovery center and say that he is a new man and go to assault and bully others like he did before he was caught on camera.
You really think that was his first time acting like that really?
Those decrying the fact the cabbie was not armed due to it being California haven't thought this through obviously.
Were this bully able to carry a firearm, do any of you think his character was such he would not have used it instead of just thumping on the cabbie?
How would a cabbie with his back directly facing his protagonist presume to defend himself, were firearms in the equation?
Surely people aren't assuming that were it legal to carry a firearm, with his noted bully tendency, he would not have been carrying and have perhaps used it to exact his "thugism" on someone.
I'm glad at least the driver pepper sprayed his ass.
If I was in such a situation, I might have thrown in a few sucker punches and kicks to the groin for good measure while the drunk fool is puking his guts out from the spray.
Just by seeing Golden's actions and his stupid mug, I'll make a couple of predictions about him.
1. Was probably a bully in high school. 2. Was probably in a frat in college.
3. Probably slapped up a few women.
4. Still thinks manscapping "in".
5. Probably drives a Corvette or a 4x4.
6. Thinks Nickelback or Daughtry is "real" heavy metal, but secretly prefers Dave Matthews.
7. His favorite movie is I Hope They Serve Beer In Hell.
8. He really prefers tranny porn, because the normal stuff is too soft for him.
9. When times get tough he calls his mom crying, then beats his dog, then beats off to aforementioned porn fetish, eats a pint of Cherry Garcia, cries some more, throws on some Nickelback, beats off again, calls mom again.
***Golden do the world a favor and hang yourself, guys like you are a dime a dozen. The odd tragedy here is that the Uber driver didn't pull a pistol and end your pathetic life there.
Now go enjoy your unemployment, wearing your hat backwards, socks with flip flops and being hung like a field mouse.
Passenger in Uber assault ‘extremely remorseful,’ wants to apologize
The former Taco Bell executive whose attack on a California Uber driver was captured on video is “extremely remorseful” and hopes to offer a face-to-face apology, his attorneys say.
Benjamin Golden, 32, has been charged with four misdemeanor counts, including assault, the Orange County District Attorney’s office announced this week. If convicted, Golden could face a year in jail and receive a $10,000 fine, according to the D.A.’s office.

We don't know that. Somebody might have hothead or bullying tendencies, but be cool, calm and collected when it comes to firearms.
"Maybe he should stop drinking if he can't handle it."
No kidding, he's a loose cannon. If he's really sorry, he should pack a bag and enter rehab today.
