I think he's a poor representative of the U.S. Marines, personally. Marines are supposed to respect the law. Does anyone think this guy at DMV taking sh*t all day for $12 an hour made the rules? Want to change the laws, go to the people who can change them or run for something.
If he was still in the Marines and he was pulling this stunt with an official government office his superiors would have marched his ass dry with a boot.
Earned the right pfft, he's just another tool with an ego problem.

If somone can claim to be a "pastafarian" and wear a colander on their head as a "religious headgear", I am all for the Marine being allowed to wear his cap!
The article says he won the right to keep it on.
The pastafarians did this to make fun of muslims who go completely covered up and want their pictures taken showing just their eyes.
Then I can **** and moan over stupid ****, waste time for people who are just trying to do their jobs and pretend a baseball cap is the same thing as a turban.

I am not a Marine. A close family member was a Marine who fought in Vietnam over several tours of duty. For his service to his country, he received the Purple Heart, Agent Orange and a hefty case of PTSD that led to all sorts of problems.
I still think the Marine in this story is a troublemaking **** for bothering the DMV workers over something they have zero to do with. Plus the fact we are talking about a baseball cap. If he really cared about our country and equality I can name ten other things that are actual issues he could use his energy on.
I served....and I was not some REMF. First I am skeptical of this story. Second I do not think he is a superior representative of the USMC.
My oldest great-nephew just graduated Parris Island about a week before Christmas, he doesn't think the guy was acting the way a Marine is supposed to, either.
