Yeah, I agree. It's not hyped up enough.

I will have the Superbowl on...but I won't be watching the game. However, I WILL be watching the commercials. When the actual game is being played, I will be running to the bathroom, getting food, probably doing laundry, getting things ready for the work week. If the snow starts earlier than predicted, I'll go out and shovel during the game if necessary...

Don't most people watch the Stupid Bowl for the commercials?

I don't know a single person who acts the way you're describing. Do you? Or are you guessing?

Folks seem to get pretty worked up about something they don't care about.
There are prolly things you like that others consider a waste of time.
Me, I love football. (I even watch the Pro Bowl.)

Go Peyton!

Ha! That and for the Puppy Bowl (imagine a bunch of adorable puppies tripping over each other going nuts over a stuffed football), and to pig out on spicy chicken wings and cider (I don't like beer).

Plus there are hedgehog cheerleaders.

All these people who won't watch the Super Bowl...who knew there were so many un-American Americans among us?

I'm kidding, relax.

It's like Panthers 95% winning chance, Broncos 5%.
I'm hoping on the 5% and hopefully Manning will retire with a ring.

IMHO baseball is more American than football. (Not looking for a debate here anyone, just stating my opinion.)

I think that if the World Series was just one game like the Super Bowl, it would have the same public/media response the Super Bowl does. No one wants to sit there and feign interest in at least 4 baseball games (except for the fans of the teams playing). It's much easier to feign interest and have a big party on one day than 4-7. Me, not a fan of football. However, I LOVE baseball and was happy to see my Mets make the World Series this past season.
