Death for Drug trafficking. And they say our punishments are harsh.
I believe this is because there is so much pressure from the USA in drug control. I believe capital punishment should be applied, if ever applied, to murders, those who take lives and this might include extreme rape and child molestation. It should not be the price for trying to make money off a substance which is classified illegal, yet is not near is deleterious, in itself, as illicit arms dealing, or trafficking in human contraband.

I wish the USA would stop demonizing substances some persons use to escape the reality of their lives!

I think the OP's description was proper.

good for her, murdering people as punishment is wrong and it does nothing at all to reduce violent crime.
Some people deserve to be killed as punishment. It isn't about it being a deterrent, it is about it being justice.

The lengths people go to survive. I gotta confess, that's just shrewd. Not really novel, as there was a case during the pirating years of Colonial days (1700s... actual pirating on seas, not software piracy mind you) where 2 of the cabin boys turned out to be women disguised as such. Their execution after they were captured by the British were stayed. One of them die during childbirth, while the other just "disappeared". Presumably, she found a way to escape.

The goal is not rehabilitation, the goal is to remove their sorry butts from society. Repeat, habitual offenders, in other words- 'permanent offenders', should be removed permanently. Consumption of the public's money to keep them alive while they languish in prison for most or all of their lives serves no purpose, it is still detrimental to society.
Actually, according to an episode of Last Week Tonight, at least in the US, due to all of the legal preceding and such, it actually costs MORE money to get an inmate on death row then for them to be in for life.

I don't think she deserved to be executed for drug trafficking, but she probably should be executed for creating a human life for the sole purpose of using it as leverage.

I guess its possible. Sperm only live about 20 minutes to an hour outside the body and even then, environmental elements like moisture, acidity, temperature etc play a factor. If ejaculate dries up the sperm die. The concept that a man can ejaculate into a baggie and then a woman is able to draw it up in a syringe and deposit it in her vagina and actually get pregnant is a bit of stretch. I'm not saying its impossible but the odds are low, at best, I would think.

I will assume you are joking , but as I find it so hard to tell at times....

Look up you stats, death penalty does not reduce the number of violent crimes, it never has never will. Death penalties are revenge nothing more nothing less.
