Doesn't bother me one bit. It's a freebie program. They get to decide how they will dole out freebies, and I don't have much room to complain, because it's free.
I think it stinks!! I was one of the smart ones that knew to ring up my and my husband's drink separately to make sure I got the points.
You mean annoying ones. Nothing like seeing the cashier having to ring up 4 drinks separately and tender them out separately all because you want the points. Meanwhile the line is out the door with a people having to wait for a bunch of other people also wanting to ring up their drinks separately.
Starbucks is claiming that customers (presumably those who spent more bucks on their coffee) prompted the change.
Why anyone would care that a frugal customer is getting the same points-per-beverage is beyond me.
That's what would make me mad if I was a Starbucks customer. Trying to pass it off as something their customers want, and something that benefits the customers. BS! I hate being manipulated and treated like I'm stupid.

If the corporation wants to encourage people to ring up separate drinks, then I guess they better hire more employees to take care of the extra work.

Well what they did was add a few zeros to those points. That knocks the little guy out of the picture.
If you are cutting costs you don't go and hire more employees
