This story is unreal. There is a small village in China where the kids have to climb a 2500ft ladder in order to return home from school. The ladder is also the only access for the village to the outside world.

Look at the pictures. That is terrifying!

And somewhere, some old guy is complaining (probably yelling while shaking his fist):

"When I was a kid we had to climb 3000 steps! And we went up both ways! You young whippersnappers don't know how easy you have it!"

Crazy to have to go through that just to get to and from home. Glad they will have a safer way to get home. Personally I would not mind a ladder like this to get home from work. Its scenic and still more pleasant then the NYC subway esp in Summer. Less puke/dookie/screaming and armpit smell. Seriously.

Although they might climb a total of 2600 feet to get to school, a tremendous accomplishment, I seriously doubt that the ladder is 2600 feet, a half mile, long.

Of course, why would anybody in the news media question this and check - why ruin a good clickbait story?

What are they doing going home after school? Don't they have some factory they have to work at?

Per the other stories there are 17 ladders that cover the 2600 foot climb.

What's to complain about? It ought to cut down on door to door sales like Avon or Am-way. And just think. Those relatives or friends you don't like are really not going to drop by to visit.
