First, how did this girl even get the roommates emails? I am not sure that they give out that information. Anyone know??
As a parent I would email the other roommate's parents and together take this BS email to whoever assigns roommates and demand a roommate change.
This immature girl is not going to like college or a "dorm" situation.
They may or they may find their roommates on Facebook and get them that way. They'll be living together, the school wants them to connect. It's been some time since I was assigned a roommate but I'm sure in the roommate forms you can say whether or not you want to disclose your email or any other personal info to your potential roommate.
I'm not so sure I would contact the administration office and say I was concerned for my safety. Nothing here suggests to me she is dangerous, more like an entitled b***h. But I would definitely tell Ashley to get bent and try someone else.
Edit: After reading the follow up tweet in the link again it appears as if she tried but "housing" never responded. So she's stuck with this person, yeah good luck with that.

It's not just limited to California, believe me. There are plenty of rich kids entering college every year in every state. She will most likely join a sorority. Then she can hang out with "Brittany" and "Andrea", and be taken by the highest bidder.
They have their own world and she will get along fine with the other stuck up girls and their perpetual drama.
Doubtful. She does not sound like someone who is a joiner.

If my future roommate warned me that they were a ticking time bomb, you'd better believe that I would alert the administration and let them know that I am concerned for my safety.
You might want to quote next time, instead of posting someone else's words as your own.
Wow, I didn't care for my freshman year roommate but I guess I should thank my lucky stars that she wasn't like this girl! Of course, I did arrive to the dorm room first so I got to pick what I wanted.

I would die if my parents would intervene. They're in college, they're adults. They can take care of things themselves, mommy & daddy don't need to hold their hand anymore.
I would pull so many shenanigans on Ashley after getting a letter like that. She would totally enjoy her first few months of living with me.
I mean, how could you resist? It's like she stamped victim on her forehead. Once you let people know you are that thin skinned, it gives them a licence to get a rise out of you at every possible juncture. Preferably in front of the whole dorm floor. Entertainment for everyone. LOL
