And in our typical fashion you cannot smoke on the strip or in any of the Casinos or related hotels. Basically no smoking in public. And prostitution is not legal in Las Vegas.
I may or may not have some usage in"childhood" and I've been completely against legalization until my youngest son moved in. It's self medicating for him. If he doesn't have it he drinks and I prefer the weed over the alcohol for him.
I should add he's working full time and in a certification program. He's going to be moving out soon-ish.
Gambling
Limited Prostitution
and now Pot ? What could go wrong
Better to ask: What could go wrong that illegalization would prevent?
You may have noticed that the federal and state governments spend billions per year enforcing laws prohibiting marijuana. Perhaps you are of the opinion that the decades-long ban has been some sort of success, but it's hard to see how any lucid person could think any such thing. Despite throwing hundreds of billions of dollars down that rabbit-hole over the decades, marijuana is still readily available and used by tens of millions. Instead, massive scale down the enforcement, enact regulatory laws which pay for themselves through taxes, and the only people hurt will be the cartels and the street dealers.
Now, I am surely not one to claim that marijuana has no serious deleterious effects. But there's no evidence that they're worse than, or even as significant as, those that accompany alcohol and tobacco. Marijuana is not crack. Marijuana is not meth. So where's the logic in banning some but not all of those substances? There is none that I can see.
So, I do not think alcohol (which I periodically enjoy) should be banned. I do not think that tobacco (which I have not used in 15 years) should be banned. Thus, I cannot logically demand that marijuana (which I have never used) should be banned.

That's why they invented edibles and concentrate vape pens
Sadly, all these legalization laws still require that users hide.
