Yeah, it wasn't your standard gender reveal party. It was a gender reveal party with a bunch of gangbangers. Sadly, the little guy won't grow up to be an armed robber by 6 or 8 like those two cute little boys in Chicago.

This story is turning out to be a little different. They don't know who the assailants were, apparently, and they don't really seem like "gang bangers". Lower middle class, it seems, but in general family people, who were gathered for a classic "gender reveal", but stayed in the home after the party when this shooting occurred.
The woman who died was a married mother of two from Indiana. The guest of honor, who lost her baby, also doesn't appear to be gang or otherwise crime related.

In a number of these types of shootings, most of the people there are not gangbangers but a brother or two etc. are. They just get caught up in the drive-by as the place gets sprayed with bullets.
I used to live in Chicago and can't tell you how many news stories involved totally innocent people getting shot just because they happened to be standing 20 feet away from some gangbangers out in front of a movie theatre or whatnot.
Turns out the "mother" in this shooting was not pregnant!
Quote:
Police say the Colerain Township woman who was hosting a gathering where nine people were shot July 8 wasn't pregnant at the time of the shooting.
Colerain Township Police Chief Mark Denney says false information is hampering the investigation into the shooting that killed Autum Garrett and wounded eight others at a gender reveal party.
Denney said police do not have an explanation as to why Cheyanne Willis, 21, had a gender reveal party if she was not pregnant.
"All we have at this point is speculation," he said.
